Terra Nova Secures Core Funding

The Arts Council of Northern Ireland has granted Terra Nova Productions core funding for the first time.  Core funding is for one year, April 2013- March 2014.  It is expected that funding will allow the company to hire an administrator and will secure a range of development projects.

Terra Nova Artistic Director, Andrea Montgomery says: 'The Board and I will be meeting with our new arts officer, Gilly Campbell, in May to confirm details of the grant.  We are really delighted.  We feel this decision is a vote of confidence in Terra Nova Productions and a confirmation of the importance of our work as part of the Northern Irish arts ecosystem.'

Terra Nova AD Attends Script Meeting with Radio 4

Jeremy Howe, Head of Drama at BBC Radio 4 recently invited Terra Nova's Artistic Director & Playwright Andrea Montgomery to a script meeting in London.

Mr Howe was one of the judges of the 2012 Nick Darke Award, which shortlisted Ms Montgomery's script All At Once I Saw A Crowd, one of seven scripts so honoured from hundreds of entries from across the globe.

When judging the awards Mr Howe said:

On sheer ambition I would give the award toAll at Once I saw a Crowd by Andrea Montgomery. It is creatively the most ambitious of the entries, has a truly global feel, is intensely theatrical and (surprisingly) it is delightfully playful.
